Brian had told everyone he would propose to me when he met me in Greece after I toured Europe with one of my bands, but the pressure was too much for both of us. A few months later, after things were back to normal, we met some friends at Bush Gardens for karaoke. The group next to us included a girl in a tiara; turns out it was her bachelorette party. We all congratulated her, and a few songs later I jumped in Brian’s lap and asked him to marry me. He looked at me like I was nuts, and then started crying and said yes.
