Aesthetically the goal was Mount Tabor–inspired natural beauty mixed with understated, industrial décor. POST-CEREMONY FUN Lawn games, like cornhole crafted by the bride’s uncle Tim Taber of WindsongWoodworking, and refreshments: gourmet popcorn, berries, and Arnold Palmers FLORAL DETAILS A comb of white blooms in her hair, and baby pinecones in his boutonniere DIY HIGHLIGHTS The pair designed and letterpress-printed their own paper goods, made yarn globes to hang above the dance floor, and set up pieces of watercolor paper and paints for the guest book; Andrew also helped design the Harding & Wilson neckwear MENU Gourmet wood-fired open baguette sandwiches, summer salads, and an assortment of Oregon wines (including Argyle bubbly) and beers DESSERT Mini pies in the couple’s favorite flavors: marionberry, pecan, and stone fruit FIRST DANCE SONG The Fleet Foxes’ “Can’t Help Falling in Love” FAVORITE DETAIL The big, beautiful tree under which they got married IF THEY HAD IT TO DO OVER They’d request portraits with their grandparents. They recommend minimizing pose time but regret not having these special shots.   1. There are a lot of different options for what you can do. My husband and I love Tex-Mex, so we actually served Tex-Mex at our wedding – buffet style. You can do a brunch, or a tea service and serve light fare with it. Sometimes it depends on the time of day of your wedding, your location/venue, and theme as well to what you decide. Great ideas, thanks for sharing!
