NAMES Molly Reardon & Aaron Egger LIVE IN Sauvie Island OCCUPATIONS She’s a model; he’s a software engineer. HOW THEY MET Through mutual friends in high school, but they didn’t date seriously until college HOW THEY GOT ENGAGED Aaron proposed on a snowy day in January at the Portland Rose Garden after a weekend of re-creating dates from significant times in the couple’s relationship. REHEARSAL DINNER A big family barbecue held at a relative’s ranch, complete with an ice cream cart BACHELORETTE AND BACHELOR PARTIES She enjoyed a night out around Portland with the bridesmaids; he spent a weekend with friends at a lakeside cabin. NUMBER OF GUESTS 230 COLORS Green and ivory with hints of gold and purple FLOWERS Lots of greenery, with ivory flowers for the bouquets and centerpieces, with wine-colored blooms mixed in and a few yellow raspberries for the bride’s bouquet DIY HIGHLIGHTS The bride and groom made the arch and doorway and retrofitted pews for the ceremony in addition to making all of the wooden signage, programs, and favors. The bride’s grandmother made the top of her dress, and the groom’s family made the light tent. MENU Quinoa tabbouleh, fresh fruit salad, salmon Caesar salad, a berry and nut salad, mango chicken, and chicken piccata DRINKS Iced tea, iced coffee, and lemonade, as well as jalapeño-and-lime-infused water DESSERT A three-tiered cake covered with berries from the farm, and an array of berry pies, also from the farm FIRST DANCE SONG “500 Miles” by Sleeping at Last ADVICE FOR OTHER COUPLES At the end of the day you’ll be married and that’s the most important part, so don’t stress the little details! IF THEY HAD IT TO DO OVER They would have hired a videographer so they could see their first dance. THE DAY IN THREE WORDS Romantic, graceful, elegant HONEYMOON Aruba

It seemed like it would rain the whole day, but very suddenly it just stopped, these big fluffy clouds parted, and it was warm and sunny. It added some dramatic effect! —Molly Reardon
