NAMES Ira Agustin and Adam Soh LIVE IN Issaquah, Washington OCCUPATIONS She’s a tax accountant; he’s an IT program manager HOW THEY MET An Accounting 421 class at the University of Washington Business School THE PROPOSAL Adam did the asking in a little courtyard next to Gelateria del Teatro in Rome WHY THEY WED IN OREGON They wanted a destination wedding and originally thought Napa but decided Oregon wine country was easier and prettier NUMBER OF GUESTS 118 COLORS White, gray, and navy THEME Simple and classic with clean lines FLOWERS White hydrangea centerpieces and bouquets of white garden roses DIY HIGHLIGHTS They ordered custom Q&A cocktail napkins (featuring fun facts about the couple) and used wine corks to display place cards, table numbers, and menus. Friends helped sew the 16 table runners. MENU A fantastic family-style meal—highlights were beet napoleon apps and a grilled flank steak with wild mushroom demiglace DESSERT White butter cake with lemon curd and fresh berries, topped with a Lego bride and groom FAVORS Pineapple-mango-macadamia cookies (from their favorite vacation spot: Maui) in pillow boxes decorated with twine and washi tape FIRST DANCE SONG “Fly Me to The Moon” sung by their band, because it’s a great song and short! ADVICE Make a list of items you’re bringing to the wedding venue, and assign someone to make sure it’s all packed at the end of the night LESSON LEARNED They wish they’d spent the pre-ceremony cocktail hour with their guests FAVORITE DETAIL The paper goods, including save-the-dates, invitations, thank-you cards, table numbers, menu, and signs, all stamped with a custom hand-carved linocut of the venue and the couple’s Pomeranian-poodle, Kiwi (who walked the aisle with the maid of honor and best man) THE DAY IN THREE  WORDS Happy, memorable, beautiful HONEYMOON Europe
